I recently stayed at the Eastwind Oliverea Valley with my husband, and from the moment we arrived, we were enveloped by a sense of calm and natural beauty that made our stay truly unforgettable.

With only 26 thoughtfully curated accommodations, Eastwind Oliverea Valley offers an intimate and exclusive experience. The blend of Scandinavian design and carefully selected vintage pieces creates a space that feels both cozy and luxurious.

We stayed in the Upper Valley King room, which was immaculately clean and beautifully designed. The vaulted ceilings and oversized window added a sense of spaciousness, while the serene views of the Catskills provided the perfect backdrop to our mornings. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and every detail of the room contributed to a stay that felt indulgent yet homey.

During our visit, I had the opportunity to tour the property and explore the variety of accommodations:

  • Lushna Suite: A luxury cabin with mountain views, a queen-size loft bed, lounge space, writer's nook, mini fridge, en-suite bathroom, and private deck.

  • Lushna With Deck: A hillside cabin featuring a queen bed and a private deck with lounge chairs. The private bathroom is just a few steps away.

  • Lushna: A small hillside cabin with a queen bed and a private bathroom a short walk from the cabin.

  • Lushna Double: Two hillside cabins connected by a private deck, each with a queen bed and sharing one private bathroom nearby.

  • Lodge Rooms:

    • Upper Valley King: Located on the upper floor with vaulted ceilings and an oversized window.

    • Lower Valley King: A king room located on the lower floor.

    • King With Loft: Features a king bed and a loft space accessible by ladder.

    • Fern Suite: Two interconnecting king bedrooms with private entrances, two bathrooms, a loft space, and a desk area.

None of the rooms include televisions or radios, which we found refreshing, it truly encourages you to disconnect and immerse yourself in the experience. Electric vehicle charging stations are conveniently available in the parking lot.

The Scandinavian-style saunas were a highlight of our stay. We reserved private time at the front desk and enjoyed a relaxing session in both the dry and infrared saunas. The outdoor fire pits and hammocks were perfect for unwinding after hiking the nearby trails, some of which feature breathtaking frozen waterfalls. A trailhead is conveniently located directly across from the property, and the hotel provides Hunter boots and hiking gear for guests to use.

Another exciting addition is the soon-to-open, year-round heated pool, complete with a cozy yurt for winter months. We can’t wait to return and experience it!

The on-site restaurant, Dandelion, was a culinary delight. Both of our dinners were exceptional, with fresh and flavorful dishes that exceeded our expectations. Although the restaurant is currently only open for dinner, it was a wonderful treat to enjoy meals in such a warm and inviting setting.

For those who prefer to stay on-site, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, including yoga, cycling, board games, and simply relaxing in the beautiful surroundings.

The staff at Eastwind Oliverea Valley were exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to creating a comfortable and memorable experience.

Eastwind Oliverea Valley is the perfect escape for anyone looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with nature in a luxurious and welcoming setting. Whether you’re exploring the nearby trails, savoring a meal at Dandelion, or simply soaking in the serene atmosphere, this place is a gem. I cannot recommend it highly enough and am already planning our next visit!
